So how are the predictions created?
We monitor correct score predictions being made by professional football pundits and collate the data to find out what predictions are being backed.
For example, if we look at the prediction below, the # column shows that 34 pundits who put in a prediction for this match had a score prediction that aligned with Burnley scoring less than 1.5 goals.
Similarly the % column shows that 97% of pundits who submitted a score prediction for the match aligned with this outcome. That is, 34 out of 35 pundits submitted score predictions that had Burnley scoring only 1 goal or less.
With odds of 1.41, with such a high proportion of pundits backing the prediction, we think thats a good bet! So this one goes into our top predictions for that week. And as we can see from the Outcome in the final column, it paid off, with the bet paying out 41 cents to each dollar that we bet against it.
Rating the accuracy of the pundits
In addition to bringing you the best predictions for each match week, we'll be keeping track of how our pundits are doing with their predictions. We'll have an overall leaderboard which will show how accurate each pundits predictions are.
We'll also show who is the best at predicting each type of bet from 1 X 2, teams to score, goals over / under and more.
